The membership of the group comprises community-based centres operating under a Kindergarten Association, their related all day centres or stand alone groups.

Member associations operate a total of 212 kindergartens providing for around 17,000 children aged from 2 years to school age. Members are also contracted to manage full day childcare centres (currently 10 centres).

To represent members in the provision of high quality early childhood education
To enhance the leadership capability within the membership
To acknowledge and respect the dual heritage of Aotearoa/NZ
To unite on common goals

Objectives

To represent members on relevant regional and national matters
To represent members during employment agreement negotiations
To advocate high quality ECE for NZ children
To work collaboratively with other ECE organisations on relevant matters
To support and encourage diversity in the ECE sector
