MANZ has supported the growth of Montessori education
in New Zealand for the last twenty years. Members of MANZ are
represented by a voluntary Council and the Association is
administered by a full time executive officer.
Members of the Montessori Association of New Zealand
include Montessori schools and centres, organisations and
individuals with an interest in Montessori education.
MANZ represents the New Zealand Montessori community
nationally, with representation at governmental level.
The Association supports quality delivery of
Montessori programmes, and facilitates the growth of Montessori
education for children and students of all ages. It also promotes
Montessori values in the wider community, and to the media.
MANZ provides its members with a range of support –
information about the education sector, information through the MANZ
website, a quarterly magazine Montessori NewZ, and electronic
newsletters to schools and Montessori professionals. MANZ also
organises professional development for the NZ Montessori community,
including professional development and conferences.
