The symbol of Early Education Federation is a woven mat. This represents the weaving together of diverse groups with their own unique philosophy and structure – united by similar aims – promoting quality early childhood education and supporting families in Aotearoa/New Zealand.

The Early Education Federation is a national organisation representing sixteen organisations with an involvement in early childhood education. Collectively, we represent parent-led and teacher-led services, centre based, home-based and hospital-based services, services meeting the language and cultural aspirations of communities, special education services, distance education and early childhood teacher education providers. The Federation is a unified advocate for, and acts in the interests of the sector as a whole.

The Early Education Federation supports the Tick for Kids campaign.

Tick for Kids is working to make sure children are a central focus in the lead up to the 2014 election and into the next government’s term with the call, “It takes a child to raise a country!”

The movement is focused on creating as many local events around the country as possible, to ensure that all parties and candidates know that New Zealand voters demand action on children’s issues.   For more information about Tick for Kids and events in your area, visit  www.tick4kids.org.nz
